This couple have lived in their Wallingford home for over 30 years. They love their home and the location and were ready to make a change. We love to meet people who love their homes because at Bencar Building Systems, we believe anything is possible! We met with them in February to talk about our remodel process and what they were interested in for their kitchen and bathroom. They had spent a lot of time researching and watching HGTV shows and had an excellent vision of their kitchen.
We took the measurements we needed to send them to our kitchen designer at Bender Showrooms and he came up with a layout that was just what they wanted. The next step was for them to meet with the kitchen designer in New Haven CT and select the cabinets and countertop and also the sink and faucet. It's a great one-stop shop! They decided to continue the hardwood flooring from the living room into the kitchen which is a great idea. People always question whether it is a good choice and we say Yes! It's warm and durable. They also turned a window into a slider which gives them access to the back yard and to the new deck we built.
For their bathroom they kept their tub and surround and the rest was remodeled with fixtures from Bender Showrooms and tile on the floor from North Haven Ceramic Tile. We started their project mid-April and because we only start projects once everything is selected, ordered and in stock, it was smooth sailing. Six weeks start to finish!
