This combination kitchen and dining room remodel was a referral from an interesting source - a fifth grade friend of the homeowner's daughter! She was happy about the referral gift certificate to her favorite restaurant!
This was a crowded kitchen with an island in a bad location. In addition, the doorway from the garage opened right into the refrigerator and cooking space! The dining room was on the other side of the wall, so the logical idea was to eliminate the wall and add a nice sized island and additional cabinets in the new space. In the many kitchen Bencar Building Systems has remodeled, we see similar spaces! As we talked about the space with our kitchen designer from Bender Showrooms, we realized it was similar to one we remodeled in 2018! In addition to the added cabinetry, we angled the wall to expose the stairway to open up the space even more.
The homeowners selected Fabuwood Nexus Frost cabinets and granite in New Caladonia with a 1/4 bevel edge. Their fixtures included a Kohler Strive undermount sink and Moen Arbor motionsense faucet all from Bender Showroom in New Haven, CT. The tile backsplash, also selected at Bender, is a 3x6 beveled ceramic wall tile which was installed by North Haven Ceramic Tile of Wallingford, CT.
Bencar's detailed project schedule had a dive week calendar and we were right on the mark thanks to our employees and trade partners. We couldn't do it without them!
