These Durham homeowners called our remodeling experts while they were in the process of selecting cabinets for their kitchen remodel. This was a project they had spent a lot of time laying out where the cabinets would go and planned to remove a load bearing wall and move a doorway. The contacted Bencar Building Systems on the recommendation of an existing client whom we've working with since 2006 on many home remodeling projects.
We met with them, explained our Remodel Process, took notes and pictures of their kitchen. They were working directly with the cabinet company but requested Bencar Building Systems take care of the installation. We went through the items that needed to be selected and gave them a checklist along with our vendors information. They make appointments with the salespeople to make selections that would become part of our proposal for the kitchen remodel. Our vendors were very helpful and they were able to take tile selections home to get a sense of how they would work in the home.
We removed the wall and installed the structural beam a month or so before the job started to be able to give the cabinet company the final measurements they needed in their design. The homeowners were able to continue using the kitchen until we started the demolition phase of the kitchen.
The project took place over three weeks and they have a beautiful, inviting kitchen to show for their well thought out planning.
